Job description

Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Clinical Research and Innovation Finance Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking to obtain a broad range of financial skills within the Clinical Research and Innovation arena.

Job Responsibilities

1. Support the Research and Innovation Finance Team in providing comprehensive Financial Management services across the organisation and to regional services hosted by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
2. Supervise office activities and lead in the production of timely and accurate financial reports, ensuring optimal use of resources.
3. Contribute to documenting standard operating procedures and working practices related to Research and Innovation monetary management.
4. Support the development of the annual R&I Financial Plans.
5. Manage financial services for R&I projects, including multi-year projects, in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
6. Undertake specific projects as assigned by the Deputy Chief Finance Officer or Senior R&I Finance Manager.

Candidate Requirements

• AAT qualified or CCAB/CIMA part-qualified with proven financial management and analytical skills.
• Experience supervising staff and a commitment to team development.
• High numeracy skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and planning skills to meet deadlines.
