About you:

We are looking for a driven & experienced Senior Assistant Buyer on Jersey/Knit with a minimum of 3 years’ experience that is ready to take the next step of their career to join our dynamic and fast pace Buying Team.

Nobody’s Child is a small and agile but passionately run business. You will need to be highly organised and a natural collaborator with impeccable communication skills who shares our brand ethos in everything you do, like and follow.

Reporting directly into a Senior Buyer, you will assist and provide support across our growing Jersey/Knit department.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and updating the critical path for the department and feeding back to the Senior Buyer in weekly critical path meetings.
• Assist Buyer with all initial development & cost price enquiries and support negotiations of cost prices to ensure margins are achieved with best product delivery
• Assist with all fabric and garment approvals
• Prepare and attend fit sessions, updating the fit list on a weekly basis and updating the Buyer with seal deadlines and priority working closely with the Garment technical team ensuring product fit is of a high commercial standard
• Managing & maintaining good supplier relationships
• Sample management by supporting organisation of samples for Wholesale/ E-com / Campaign / Content shoots
• Understanding of reports and confident in suggesting trade actions identifying opportunity & risk
• Monitor competitor analysis and completing comp shops
• Assist in training of the BAA roles & managing their weekly workload and daily tasks.

Skills and behaviours:

• Minimum 3 years previous experience at AB level within a fashion retailer across multi product.
• Highly organised, self-motivated, flexible approach to managing high workload & ad hoc tasks
• A proactive and solution driven positive attitude
• Accuracy and attention to detail related to product, process, and systems
• Strong analytical & numerical skills.
• Takes accountability to ensure that own targets are met
• Adaptable & open to trying new ideas or ways of doing things
• Ability to work collaboratively with all internal and external business functions
