Job summary

Frazer-Nash Consultancy in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Structural Integrity Engineer to manage and extend the life of ageing critical assets. You will apply asset integrity, condition assessments and life extension strategies for pressure equipment, pipework and rotating machinery across high-value projects.

The role requires strong technical grounding, familiarity with design/assessment codes, and the ability to work with clients, conduct site visits, and mentor junior team

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering or equivalent. MEng, MSc or a PhD.
• Ability to travel and conduct site visits, customer meetings, and plant walkdowns.
• Deep technical knowledge in the mechanical/structural engineering domain, with familiarity across other disciplines.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (preferably Abaqus, Ansys or LS-Dyna).
• Experience with codes and standards, such as ASME III, ASME VIII, API 579, BS 7608, BS 7910, R5/R6.
• Experience in a customer facing role for both project delivery and business winning.
• Recognised by peers/industry as a trusted advisor in your discipline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consulting guidance on the safe operation and life extension of assets across industries.
• Lead projects from substantiation of new designs to support life extension of critical plant.
• Collaborate with clients to diagnose defects and develop strategies for production facilities or power stations.
• Mentor junior team members and help develop project delivery capabilities.
• Work across the business and with clients, demonstrating initiative and ownership.
