Frazer-Nash Consultancy in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Structural Integrity Engineer to manage and extend the life of ageing critical assets. You will apply asset integrity, condition assessments and life extension strategies for pressure equipment, pipework and rotating machinery across high-value projects.

Experienced Structural Integrity Engineer
£40,000 to £65,000 per annum depending on experience
Leatherhead, Bristol, Burton on Trent, Gloucester, Glasgow, Manchester, or Plymouth
We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer‑Nash, with time split between the office, client sites and working from home.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual with a passion for managing and extending the life of ageing critical assets. If you are a capable engineering consultant with a background in asset integrity, condition assessments and asset life extension in fields relating to pressure equipment, pipework or rotating machinery, we would welcome your application.
We support our clients by delivering specialised guidance on the safe and efficient operation of their assets across all industries. The projects we deliver focus on high value, high performance and/or safety critical assets and span the full lifecycle from substantiation of new designs to supporting life extension of critical plant.
We are seeking experienced engineers with a background in design/assessment codes, plant operation, pressure vessel and pipe work, rotating machinery, coupled with demonstrable experience with FEA, fatigue, fracture, plant investigations, failure analysis and fitness‑for‑service methods.
It is to your advantage to have experience in industries such as power generation/energy sector, process and chemical, turbomachinery and rotating equipment, rail and maritime, renewable energy, upstream/downstream O&G. A consultancy background with experience in developing new business and delivery through the entire project cycle would be welcomed, but is not essential.
Leverage your skills and expertise as you collaborate closely with our customers, tackling their toughest challenges — from diagnosing and resolving defects in individual vessels to developing strategies for entire production facilities or power stations.
Although primarily a technical role, you will be joining a consultancy where we expect you’ll be able to work across our business and with our clients. Good interpersonal skills are important as is the ability to make structured decisions, solve problems, and show initiative and ownership internally and externally.
They should understand how to form effective teams with the capabilities needed to meet customer requirements. They should also have experience in supporting the development and mentoring of junior members of the team.
