Job summary

Adur & Worthing Councils are seeking a technically capable leader to head Adur Homes, planning and delivering capital investments while ensuring statutory compliance across key safety areas. You will drive performance data, procurement regimes and stakeholder collaboration to deliver an inspection-ready asset management service for 2,500 residents.

The role requires 3+ years in housing asset management, a professional qualification (RICS/MCIOB/MCABE or equivalent), and thorough knowledge of

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in Social Housing Asset Management with major capital works delivery and strict contract management.
• Degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., RICS, MCIOB, MCABE, or HNC/HND in Building Surveying/Construction).
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, compliance requirements, and CDM regulations; CIH membership desirable or willingness to achieve.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to plan and deliver major and minor capital investment programmes.
• Monitor contractor performance using data and robust procurement regimes.
• Engage communities and resident forums to influence asset management delivery.
• Ensure statutory compliance across fire, gas, asbestos, water hygiene, electrical and lifts.
