Job summary

hVIVO Services Limited is seeking a Development Scientist to join our team, focusing on the development and validation of molecular, virology, microbiology and immunology assays.

On site full-time at our Canary Wharf facility, the role involves leading bespoke R&D client projects, training junior staff, and ensuring compliance with GCP, GLP, ISO and GMP standards while delivering high-quality data to management and clients.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant life sciences field or equivalent.
• Experience in virology, microbiology or immunology.
• Experience in assay development and validation in a commercial environment.
• Experience collaborating with research teams to implement protocols.
• Knowledge of quality systems (GCP/GLP/ISO/GMP) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate assays across molecular, virology, microbiology and immunology domains.
• Lead internal and client contracted research projects.
• Prepare and review study protocols, data and final reports.
• Ensure work complies with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Mentor junior staff and support technology transfer to the lab.
• Liaise with QA and clients; present data and progress to management.
