Job Description:

To lead prevention and intervention efforts to help residents sustain their tenancies. Based within the Housing Tenancy Management Team, the role involves working with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the Council's vision of community safety. Responsibilities include intervening in and resolving reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse, making quick and accurate referrals/signposting, and supporting vulnerable residents to ensure they feel safe at home. Develop strong partnerships to assess and manage risks, employing intervention and support measures to secure positive outcomes.

Key duties include:

  • Addressing reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse
  • Supporting victims within HRA and General needs stock, ensuring risk assessments, referrals, and safety plans are in place
  • Attending meetings with stakeholders to identify solutions
  • Delivering resident-focused responses to ASB complaints and tenancy breaches
  • Creating and managing action plans for case resolution
  • Using legislation and good practice for preventative and legal actions, including mediation
  • Conducting interviews with complainants, witnesses, and alleged perpetrators
  • Preparing and serving legal notices, and representing the organization in court as needed
  • Managing service queries to ensure positive customer experiences
  • Communicating effectively with victims, families, and perpetrators, ensuring their views are recorded
  • Building respectful relationships with victims, families, and perpetrators
  • Providing clear reports based on evidence and analysis
  • Handling child and adult safeguarding issues promptly and effectively
  • Managing complex casework involving vulnerable perpetrators of ASB and abuse

Key skills and requirements include:

  • Full driving licence and use of a vehicle
