Job Description:

To lead on prevention and intervention to help our residents sustain their tenancies. Our team, based within the Housing Tenancy Management Team, works with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the Council's vision of keeping communities safe. The role involves intervening and resolving reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse, making referrals/signposting quickly and accurately, and supporting vulnerable residents to ensure they feel safe in their homes.

Developing strong partnerships with internal and external agencies to assess and manage risk, employing a range of intervention and support measures to mitigate risks and secure positive outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Address reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse.
  2. Support victims of Domestic Abuse within HRA and General needs stock, ensuring risk assessments, referrals, and safety plans are in place.
  3. Attend meetings with stakeholders to identify and implement solutions to ASB cases.
  4. Deliver a resident-focused response to ASB complaints and breaches of tenancy/lease agreements.
  5. Create and manage effective action plans for ASB case resolution.
  6. Utilize legislation and good practice to take preventative and legal actions, including mediation services.
  7. Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses, and alleged perpetrators of ASB.
  8. Prepare and serve legal notices, and represent the organization in court as necessary.
  9. Manage service queries, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  10. Communicate effectively with victims, families, and perpetrators, ensuring their views are heard and recorded.
  11. Establish rapport and build respectful, honest, and safe relationships with victims and perpetrators as needed.
  12. Provide and present complex reports based on evidence and needs assessment.
  13. Ensure child and adult safeguarding matters are handled promptly and effectively.
  14. Manage complex and high-risk casework related to vulnerable perpetrators of anti-social behavior and abuse.
Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Full driving license and use of a vehicle at all times.
  • Experience managing tenancy-related breaches in the public sector.
