Job Description:

To lead on prevention and intervention to help our residents sustain their tenancies. Our team is based within the Housing Tenancy Management Team, working with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the Council's vision of keeping communities safe. The role focuses on intervening and resolving reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse, with quick and accurate referrals/signposting to support residents, especially vulnerable ones, ensuring tenants feel safe in their homes. Develop strong partnerships with agencies to assess and manage risks, employing intervention and support measures to mitigate risks and secure positive outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Address reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse
• Support victims of Domestic Abuse within HRA and General needs stock, conducting risk assessments, referrals, and safety planning
• Attend meetings with stakeholders to identify solutions for ASB cases
• Deliver resident-focused responses to ASB complaints and breaches of tenancy/lease
• Create and manage action plans for ASB case resolution
• Utilize legislation and good practice for preventative and legal actions, including mediation
• Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses, and perpetrators
• Prepare and serve legal notices, and represent the organization in court as needed
• Handle service queries ensuring positive resident experiences
• Communicate effectively with victims, families, and perpetrators, ensuring accurate recording of views
• Build respectful relationships with victims and perpetrators as appropriate
• Provide and present complex reports based on evidence and analysis
• Ensure child and adult safeguarding procedures are followed promptly and effectively
• Manage complex high-risk cases involving vulnerable perpetrators of ASB and abuse
