Job description

Rolling advert: We are continuously reviewing and interviewing applicants weekly for this job posting. We will stop accepting applications when sufficient applications have been received.

We're investing significantly in our homes, communities and housing services, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Area Surveyor to help lead the future of our housing assets across Wiltshire.

This is a key leadership role within our Asset Maintenance Team, offering the opportunity to influence investment decisions, drive service improvements and help shape the long-term condition of our housing stock. You'll lead planned maintenance programmes, major repairs, damp and mould investigations, HHSRS compliance activities and energy efficiency improvements, ensuring our homes remain safe, sustainable and fit for the future.

Working closely with contractors, consultants and colleagues, you'll oversee projects from inception to completion, manage contracts and budgets, and provide technical leadership and support to Area Maintenance Surveyors and Repairs Surveyors. You'll play a central role in improving asset performance, customer satisfaction and value for money across our housing portfolio.

We're looking for a highly skilled building surveying professional with substantial experience in asset management, contract management and project delivery, ideally within a social housing environment. You'll have strong knowledge of building defects, housing standards, damp and mould, HHSRS and compliance requirements, together with the ability to diagnose complex issues and develop practical solutions.

You’ll be an excellent communicator, confident producing technical reports, presenting information and building strong relationships with residents, contractors and stakeholders at all levels. You'll also be comfortable using Microsoft Office and asset management systems to analyse and manage property information. Professionally qualified, working towards chartered status, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience, you'll be committed to delivering high-quality homes and services.
