Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an Architectural Technologist for its Brighton office to design and coordinate projects across Educational, Leisure, or Extra Care sectors. You will produce drawings and technical information using Revit to support development through construction, and manage coordination with the broader technical team.

The role offers up to £50,000 DOE, hybrid working with a 1pm finish on Fridays, and a comprehensive benefits package including CPD, paid professional fees, generous holiday

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience within an architectural practice.
• Experience using Revit to produce detailed technical information.
• Strong design and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed drawings, technical designs, specifications and schedules using Revit to support projects from design development through to construction.
• Develop and manage designs, ensuring accuracy and coordination with project standards.
• Prepare technical information packages for planning, tender and construction stages.
• Coordinate technical information across disciplines and resolve design/construct issues.
• Collaborate with the wider technical team and liaise with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Support day-to-day project running, deadlines, and information release.

Following recent project wins, our client, an award-winning Architectural practice, are looking for an Architectural Technologist to join their growing Brighton office.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing exceptional projects either in the Educational, Leisure or Extra Care sector.

The successful Architectural Technologist will join a supportive, design lead and specialist team to work on projects ranging up to £100m in project value, using Revit daily. The role will involve producing drawings, technical designs, specifications and schedules to support design development and information release.

Architectural Technologist Position Overview:

• Produce detailed drawings, technical designs, specifications and schedules using Revit to support projects from design development through to construction
• Develop and manage designs, ensuring accuracy, coordination and compliance with project standards
• Prepare technical information packages for planning, tender and construction stages
• Coordinate technical information across disciplines, identifying and resolving design and construction issues
• Work closely with the wider technical team
• Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors to support smooth project delivery
• Assist with day to day project running, including managing deadlines, information release and design team coordination
• Ensure all work complies with current Building Regulations, industry standards and best practice

Architectural Technologist Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience within an architectural practice
• Advanced working knowledge of Revit, with experience producing detailed technical information
• Exceptional technical design skills
• Experience managing projects through all RIBA stages
• Experience within either the Educational, Leisure or Extra Care sectors
• Confident and professional client-facing approach, with the ability to lead or contribute to meetings and presentations
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines effectively
