Job summary

Conrad Consulting in London seeks a Senior Architectural Technologist/Technician to drive technical delivery on complex residential and commercial schemes, leading the production of detailed drawings and construction information.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act, mentor juniors, and shape the technical direction of the practice within a design-led, collaborative studio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as an Architectural Technologist or Technician, ideally in a senior capacity.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and associated technical software.
• Deep understanding of UK Building Regulations, Building Safety Act, and construction methods.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with leadership ability.
• CIAT chartership is advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence preferred, though not required with excellent London transport links.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements, including Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
• Coordinate information across architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Support Principal Designer responsibilities, promoting health and safety best practice.

About the Role

As a Senior Architectural Technologist/Technician , you will be the technical backbone of project delivery, leading the production of coordinated, high-quality construction information and ensuring full compliance with UK Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to Principal Designer duties, and play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of the practice.
