Job summary

Manson Associates in Edinburgh seeks an Architectural Technician to support bespoke housing projects across Scotland. The role focuses on translating architectural concepts into detailed, buildable drawings and coordinating with consultants.

You will bring five years+ experience, strong technical skills, and knowledge of Scottish Building Standards. Revit experience is advantageous and an independent, collaborative approach is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ relevant industry experience in architectural technology or related field.
• Strong technical knowledge and detailed understanding of residential construction.
• Ability to prepare accurate, coordinated technical drawings, specifications and construction details.
• Sound knowledge of Scottish Building Standards and building warrant process.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs into coordinated, technically robust drawing packages.
• Prepare building warrant, tender and construction drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Resolve construction details and interfaces while maintaining architectural intent.
• Coordinate information with engineers, services consultants and suppliers.
• Lead technical delivery on senior appointments and guide junior colleagues.
