Senior Architectural Technician with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience to join our dynamic and growing team at Graham Anthony Associates. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with strong technical expertise, an eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional architectural designs.

The position is a permanent position at the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing the technical delivery of architectural projects from inception to completion.
• Preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and documentation in line with project requirements.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and design teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Providing technical support to junior staff and mentoring team members.
• Ensuring compliance with building regulations, planning policies, and other relevant standards.
• Maintaining quality control and ensuring designs are cost-effective and sustainable.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in an architectural practice or consultancy.
• Either MCIAT (Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists) or RIBA qualified.
• Strong experience in preparing technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications.
• Solid understanding of building regulations, technical detailing, and construction processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
• A passion for innovation and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed architectural drawings and schematics using AutoDesk Revit & AutoCAD
• Assist in creating 3D models and visualisations using AutoDesk Revit
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs align with client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Prepare documentation for planning applications and building regulations compliance.
• Maintain a library of technical details and document templates
• Prepare and modify technical drawings for building construction, renovation, and interior layouts.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, and industry standards.
• Review and analyse architectural drawings for accuracy and consistency.
• Assist in site surveys, measurements, and assessments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working as an Architectural Technician in a professional environment.
• Proficiency in architectural software including AutoCAD, Revit & AutoCAD is essential.
• A strong understanding of current UK building regulations, modern construction methods, and materials is required.
• Recent experience in a similar role and relevant educational background in architecture is required.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
• A qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field is preferred but not essential.
