Senior Architectural Technician Job in Southampton, Hampshire

This role involves taking a lead in project management and managing a small technical team. It is suitable for an experienced Architectural Technician with developer-led residential project experience.

Based in Southampton city centre, the company specializes in developer-led residential projects, working with major housebuilders. The team is divided between technical and planning departments to deliver large-scale projects.

Role & Responsibilities

• Leading a project team
• Serving as the point of contact for clients
• Reviewing third-party design drawings
• Producing technical drawings
• Coordinating with building control / NHBC to discharge conditions
• Working directly under the technical director
• Resolving design issues and technical challenges
• Using AutoCAD daily

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience
• Experience in developer-led residential projects
• Knowledge of UK building regulations and CDM responsibilities
• Ability to lead and coordinate projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Revit skills are a plus
