Job summary

Purcell in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Architect/Technologist or Senior Architect/Technologist to lead projects across all RIBA stages. You will collaborate with clients, consultants and the studio to deliver high-quality design and technical outputs.

You will manage day-to-day project delivery, mentor junior staff, and contribute to winning work in a friendly, employee-owned practice with hybrid working (minimum 3 days in the office).

Qualifications

• At least 5 years post-qualification experience as Project Architect or Technologist.
• UK-based practice with strong design and technical detailing skills.
• Experience across all RIBA stages 3-7.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and NBS software.
• RIBA/ARB or CIAT qualification.
• Leadership and client liaison experience.

Responsibilities

• Driving creative design proposals across all projects.
• Programming and planning technical design packages, defining outputs and deliverables.
• Day to day execution, management and leadership of projects (or packages within a larger project) delivering design, client satisfaction and financial outcomes.
• Reporting to your team leader and wider studio leadership team.
• Liaison and coordination of design professionals within a multi-disciplinary design team.
• Regular communication with clients and project stakeholders.
• Undertaking technical design reviews/audits of projects and sharing feedback and lessons learned.
• Line management of up to three people.
• Being part of a diverse, inclusive and creative team of architectural professionals.
