Job Description

A well-established, award-winning Architectural Practice is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident, well-organised, and committed Project-running Senior Architect to join their established team based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

The successful Senior Architect will assist in the continued growth and profitability of the Practice, which employs 60+ staff across five offices. The team and practice have been accredited to an Investors in People (IIP) Gold standard and are rated as the second-highest scoring architecture practice on the IIP international database. They pride themselves on their commitment to sustainability, health, and wellbeing, both in design and creating a healthy work environment, offering their staff a great work-life balance.

The practice has a varied and diverse portfolio of projects that are both challenging and design-focused, including Education, Commercial & Industrial, Healthcare, Leisure & Arts, Residential, and Sports/Recreational spaces.

Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Architect

1. Management of the day-to-day delivery of projects, working collaboratively with the team.
2. Demonstrate strong capabilities across RIBA stages 0-7.
3. Production of planning and construction drawing packages, including drawings, schedules, and specifications.
4. Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, local planning authorities, and building control.
5. Coordinating work by external consultants and internally with the team.
6. Working within project teams and independently when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Chartered Architect (ARB registered).
• Approximately 5+ years post-qualification experience.
• Ability to manage a team and work on projects from inception to completion (RIBA stages 0-7).
• Extensive experience in preparing planning and working drawing construction packages, with good knowledge of UK building regulations, planning policy, and quality standards.
• Proven design capability, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Experience with REVIT is advantageous, as most projects are delivered using this software.

Salary, depending on experience, is negotiable within the region of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, plus a very generous benefits package.
