Job summary

Align Property Services, a North Yorkshire Council subsidiary, seeks a Senior Architect to lead design teams on diverse UK commissions. You will produce feasibility, planning, and construction information, manage fees and third-party engagements, and ensure compliance with CDM and Building Regulations.

Expect senior client liaison, site visits, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires ARB registration with substantial UK project experience and fluency in Revit, AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• RIBA Part I, II & III qualifications plus ARB registration with significant post qualification experience.
• RIBA Membership would be desirable.
• Demonstratable experience across all RIBA Plan of Work Stages
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and supervises others as required.
• Experience of working closely with other disciplines to produce coordinated deliverables.
• A general understanding of JCT (Traditional / D&B) and NEC contracts is essential.
• Strong IT proficiency and presentation skills including the use of Revit, AutoCad, MS Project.
• Hold a Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and coordinate the design team.
• Manage project-related fees, appointments, expenditures, and third-party engagements.
• Produce Feasibility, Planning, Building Regulation, and Construction information.
• Create schedules of work and specifications using NBS software.
• Site visits for meetings, inspections, and surveys.
• Act as Principal Designer for Building Regulations and promote sustainability initiatives.

Education

RIBA Part I/II/III qualifications + ARB registration

RIBA Membership desirable

Experience across RIBA Plan of Work Stages

Ability to supervise others

Understanding of JCT/NEC contracts

Strong IT proficiency and presentation skills
