Job summary

Scale Careers is seeking an experienced Senior Architect / Technical Architect for an initial 3-month contract with a London practice. You will work on hospitality and residential schemes at RIBA Stage 4, delivering detailed Revit packages and coordinating with consultants to drive technical design through Gateway 2 processes.

The role requires strong Revit capability, Stage 4 delivery experience, and a solid understanding of UK Building Regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering technical design at RIBA Stage 4 on hospitality and residential schemes.
• Strong Revit skills and ability to produce detailed technical drawing packages.
• Experience coordinating between architects, structural, MEP and consultants.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and gateways (Gateway 2) experience desirable.
• ARB qualification is advantageous but not essential depending on experience.

Job description

A well-established London architecture practice is looking for an experienced Senior Architect / Technical Architect to join its team on an initial 3-month contract. The successful candidate will work across two live projects: a hospitality scheme and a residential housing development, both currently at RIBA Stage 4. The role will be heavily focused on technical design, package production and multidisciplinary coordination, working predominantly in Revit. The residential project is progressing through the Gateway 2 process, so previous experience working on a Gateway 2 / Building Safety Act project would be highly advantageous. Experience does not necessarily need to have been gained specifically within housing; candidates who have worked through the process on other relevant building types, including student accommodation, will also be considered.

This would suit an experienced contractor who is comfortable taking ownership of technical packages and can hit the ground running on live Stage 4 projects, while bringing relevant experience of complex residential and/or hospitality delivery.
