Job summary

Scale Careers in London seeks an experienced Senior Architect / Technical Architect for a 3-month contract to work on hospitality and residential projects at RIBA Stage 4. The role emphasizes technical design, detailed Revit packages, and multidisciplinary coordination with consultants.

Experience with Gateway 2 / Building Safety Act is highly advantageous; ARB qualification is beneficial but not mandatory depending on experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Resolve technical and design issues as projects progress.
• Review consultant information and ensure coordination across packages.

• Work closely with project architects, consultants and contractors.
• Ensure technical information meets project, programme and regulatory requirements.
• Take ownership of packages and work within the project team.

Job description

A well-established London architecture practice is looking for an experienced Senior Architect / Technical Architect to join its team on an initial 3-month contract. The successful candidate will work across two live projects: a hospitality scheme and a residential housing development, both currently at RIBA Stage 4. The role will be heavily focused on technical design, package production and multidisciplinary coordination, working predominantly in Revit. The residential project is progressing through the Gateway 2 process, so previous experience working on a Gateway 2 / Building Safety Act project would be highly advantageous. Experience does not necessarily need to have been gained specifically within housing; candidates who have worked through the process on other relevant building types, including student accommodation, will also be considered.
