GRØ CAREERS is recruiting an ambitious Senior Architect (Associate Designate) for a globally recognised London commercial architecture practice. You will help build a high-profile team, lead landmark projects, and work closely with senior leaders to shape the future of the office.
You will mentor designers, drive client relationships, contribute to pitches, and have a clear pathway to Associate or Director levels over 3–5 years.
Imagine having the opportunity to shape the future of a growing architectural team, develop your own reputation in the London commercial property market and establish yourself as one of the next generation of industry leaders.
Now imagine doing all of that with the backing, resources and reputation of a globally recognised multidisciplinary design powerhouse.
GRØ Careers is, once again, partnering with an internationally established architectural practice that is making a significant investment in its London commercial architecture offering.
Having built an exceptional reputation delivering some of the UK's most recognisable and complex developments, the business is now embarking on an ambitious new chapter, strengthening its presence across commercial new-build, workplace refurbishment and high-quality retrofit projects.
And the timing couldn't be more exciting.
An exceptionally experienced architectural leader, with decades of experience delivering landmark commercial developments across the City of London, has already been brought into the business to spearhead this next chapter.
The strategy is already delivering results.
The team has recently secured major commercial projects, alongside new refurbishment commissions, with ambitions to build a substantial portfolio of commercial repositioning and retrofit projects across Central London.
Now comes the exciting part.
This isn't an appointment driven purely by the need to resource another project.
The leadership team is thinking much further ahead.
Over the next three to five years, their ambition is to develop the next generation of leaders capable of taking ownership of this growing commercial architecture operation.
For the right individual, that could mean progressing towards Associate level and ultimately taking on a much broader role in shaping the future of the team.
You will have the opportunity to work directly alongside highly respected industry leaders, benefiting from their experience, relationships and mentorship while gradually establishing your own presence in the market.
Alongside leading significant architectural projects, you will be encouraged to develop client relationships, contribute to pitches, attend industry events and become increasingly involved in winning the work that shapes the practice's future.
All within an established global practice that has the resources, expertise and long-term commitment to support your development.
Perhaps you're already a Senior Architect or experienced Project Architect delivering impressive commercial projects.
You've earned the trust of your colleagues, you're comfortable leading a team and you genuinely enjoy what you do.
But increasingly, you're wondering what's next.
Maybe you're working within an established practice where progression feels frustratingly slow. There are already several layers of senior management above you, and despite your contribution, the pathway towards Associate or Director level remains unclear.
Or perhaps you're simply ready for something more.
More influence over the projects you deliver.
More exposure to clients and the commercial decisions that shape a practice.
More opportunity to develop your own reputation.
And, most importantly, a future that feels as exciting as the journey you've taken to get here.
We are particularly keen to speak with qualified Architects who have a strong background in substantial commercial new-build, refurbishment or retrofit projects, ideally within the London market.
You will need to enjoy the challenge of delivering high-quality architecture but we're equally interested in your personality, ambition, commercial curiosity and desire to grow.
You don't need to have all the answers today.
What matters is that you're excited by the prospect of developing into the kind of architectural leader you aspire to become.
There are plenty of opportunities to move from one architectural practice to another.
Far fewer offer the chance to look back in five years and say you helped build something significant.
If you've ever imagined yourself leading a successful architectural team, developing meaningful client relationships and having a genuine voice in the direction of a practice, this could be the opportunity that changes your career trajectory.
You don't need to be actively looking to have a conversation.
