Job summary

Essential Employment seeks an experienced Tree Management Officer to support the Tree Manager in the efficient running of resources, with emphasis on contract supervision and community engagement in a hybrid role.

You will undertake site visits to investigate tree issues, manage the cyclical work programme, supervise contractors, raise orders, and handle invoicing while keeping audit and quality controls updated.

Qualifications

• Experience in tree management or related field.
• Strong contract administration and planning skills.
• Ability to liaise with clients, contractors and the public.

Responsibilities

• Advising and assisting the Tree Manager in efficient resource management with emphasis on contract supervision and community engagement.
• Undertake site visits to investigate and determine tree-related issues and manage the enquiry workflow with prioritised responses.
• Organise and monitor the cyclical work programme and manage contractor supervision, including raising orders and payment control.
• Administer the tree inspection regime with reference to audit and quality control mechanisms to guide risk management.
• Oversee and update tree management software and ensure information is available for delivery of service.
