Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Associate Arboricultural Consultant to lead complex arboricultural commissions and grow client relationships across the UK. You’ll combine technical delivery with commercial leadership and mentorship to develop a sustainable national arboriculture and forestry offer within Nature Services.

Qualifications

• Substantial arboricultural consultancy experience with leadership on complex projects.
• Track record in major infrastructure, DCO/NSIP, EIA or public sector frameworks.
• Strong technical review capability and clear communication of complex information.
• Commercial pricing, scope management, project controls and risk/opportunity management.
• Experience mentoring and developing others, including skills-gap training.
• Ability to support work winning and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Direct complex arboricultural commissions within budget and schedule.
• Develop and review technical approaches for BS5837, EIA, DCO/NSIP.
• Support people managers in career development and training.
• Build relationships with clients, authorities and industry bodies to generate work.
• Drive QA, knowledge management and continuous improvement.
