Job summary

Fuzzy Labs Limited in Manchester is seeking a senior ML/DevOps engineer to lead delivery across the ML lifecycle, from prototyping to production. You’ll mentor engineers, work with clients to shape solutions, and drive engineering quality, cloud infra, and DevOps practices in a fast-growing Open Source MLOps environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in computer science, mathematics, or similar, or relevant postgraduate degree.
• Passion for coding, ML, open source, and setting implementation standards.
• 3+ years writing and deploying production-grade Python.
• Experience mentoring software engineers.
• Cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure) with DevOps and IaC.
• Fluency with Git, Unix/Linux, Docker; IDE preferences welcome.
• Familiarity with TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Broad ML tools knowledge and willingness to learn more.
• Excellent communication with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Write code and set engineering quality standards.
• Work directly with clients to understand needs and propose solutions.
• Own delivery from discovery to completion.
• Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and code reviews.
• Mentor team members on technology, architecture, and implementation.
• Contribute to hiring and interviewing.
• Help write proposals and participate in technical sales.
• Support personal development objectives within projects.
• Stay up-to-date with fast-moving industry and new tools.
