Fuzzy Labs Limited in Manchester is seeking strong software engineers to apply engineering excellence to the rapidly evolving world of Applied AI. You may come from backend, platform, or distributed systems, and you will build reliable production software while experimenting with LLMs and AI-assisted development.

You will join client-facing teams delivering real Applied AI systems, focusing on architecture, APIs, services, data flows, testing and cloud infrastructure, with opportunities for R&D

Qualifications

• Strong experience building and operating production software.
• Excellent Python knowledge; familiarity with TypeScript, Java, Go or C# is valued.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience with CI/CD build pipelines and tooling.
• Insatiable appetite for solving complex problems and learning new skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build reliable production software around AI capabilities.
• Turn prototypes and experiments into maintainable production systems.
• Build APIs, services, integrations, data pipelines and user-facing capabilities.
• Work with LLMs, model APIs, RAG, embeddings and tool use.
• Develop evaluation and testing approaches for non-deterministic systems.
• Deploy and operate systems using modern cloud, container and infra practices.
• Collaborate with customers to understand problems and turn requirements into working software.
• Bring strong software engineering practices into Applied AI teams.
• Learn rapidly from AI engineers, client projects and R&D.
• Contribute your engineering expertise back into the wider team.
