Job summary

Hitachi Europe Ltd is seeking a Business Applications and Project Manager to oversee the management, delivery and continuous improvement of business application services across the organisation. You will report to the Head of Projects and Customer Solutions, aligning applications with business priorities and guiding the full lifecycle from requirements to post‑go‑live support.

The role combines application management, project management, stakeholder engagement and people management, including

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in application management and project management.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, workflow or other business‑critical applications.
• Strong stakeholder management across business, IT and supplier teams.
• Proven ability to deliver projects using structured project management methods; Agile, hybrid or waterfall.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
• Experience coaching or developing technical or application support teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support portfolio of business applications, ensuring availability and alignment with business requirements.
• Directly manage staff within the EDI and SAP Applications teams.
• Lead application-related projects, including upgrades, enhancements, integrations, migrations and new system implementations.
• Gather requirements, define scope, and translate business needs into delivery plans.
• Coordinate testing, release management and post‑go‑live support activities.
• Manage relationships with application vendors and third‑party partners, including service performance and escalations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and automation.
