Job summary

Consult2Recruit is seeking an experienced AOV / Smoke Ventilation Designer to join a specialist team delivering compliant smoke ventilation and control solutions for commercial and residential projects. The role covers surveys, design, technical delivery and project completion, ensuring practical, compliant outcomes throughout the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in smoke ventilation design/surveying, strong knowledge of AOV systems, and familiarity with relevant BS standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience within smoke ventilation design and/or surveying.
• Strong knowledge of AOV, smoke ventilation and smoke control systems.
• Understanding of BS standards and CPR/regulatory guidance.
• Ability to interpret drawings, plans and schematics.
• Experience delivering compliant smoke control solutions.

Responsibilities

• Designing and assessing smoke ventilation, smoke control and AOV systems.
• Carrying out detailed site surveys and technical inspections.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Producing technical reports, designs and supporting documentation.
• Ensuring systems comply with legislation and standards.
• Providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborating with internal teams, contractors and clients.
• Reviewing system performance and proposing compliant solutions.
• Supporting causes and effects documentation and product approvals.
