Job summary

JOBS247 INC LTD is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design smoke control, ventilation and performance louvre systems for a range of building types. You will develop cost-effective, regulation-compliant solutions within agreed timescales and support through commissioning and handover.

You will read and interpret drawings, provide technical advice to internal teams and clients, and manage RFIs while designing ducts and performing CFD analyses as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical and construction drawings.
• Experience working within the construction industry.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions at all levels.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design smoke control, ventilation and performance louvre systems for a variety of building types.
• Provide technical advice to internal teams and external customers by phone and email.
• Ensure designs align with current drawings, specifications, employer’s requirements and scope.
• Managing technical queries via the RFI process.
• Design ductwork systems including fan selection and pressure drop calculations.
• Preparing proposals and undertake CFD analysis where required.
