Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Talented Antenna Engineer to join our growing RF team, delivering advanced antenna solutions for aerospace, defence and autonomous platforms. You will participate across the full lifecycle from concept to qualification, modelling, testing and production support.

You will work with CST HFSS FEKO and related tools, analyse performance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet stringent environmental and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing antennas in aerospace/defence or comms environments.
• Strong grasp of electromagnetic theory and RF principles.
• Experience using antenna simulation tools such as CST HFSS FEKO or similar.
• Knowledge of antenna measurement techniques and RF test equipment.
• Understanding of impedance matching, radiation patterns, gain, efficiency and polarisation.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Experience troubleshooting RF performance issues and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise antenna solutions for airborne, maritime and land applications.
• Perform electromagnetic modelling and simulation using industry-standard tools.
• Develop antenna architectures to meet performance, size, weight and environmental requirements.
• Conduct antenna measurements and validation activities, including anechoic chamber testing.
• Support RF system integration, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• Analyse and interpret test data, producing technical reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with RF, electronics, mechanical, systems and software engineers.
• Support product development from concept to production.
