Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Software Engineer III for Android Platform Security in London. You will contribute to the Platforms Security & Privacy (PSAP) team, focusing on securing Android and defending data across billions of devices.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, architecture-level thinking, and hands-on development across the Android stack, with opportunities to tackle challenging security problems and impact a global user base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with Android application development.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Perform low-level OS and kernel development work, building new functionality in the Trusty OS.
• Maintain full‑stack flexibility, working across various parts of the Android system over time to protect users.
• Engage partners and vendors across all projects to ensure what we are building lands with stakeholders.
