Senior Android Engineer

Location: Bristol, UK
Working pattern: Hybrid - 2 days on site
Rate: £375-£400 per day inside IR35

We're looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join a large financial services organisation and play a key role in the security and development of its mobile applications.

You'll be joining a specialist mobile security team responsible for building and maintaining a range of security components and services used across a large portfolio of mobile applications. The team works closely with mobile engineering, strategy and technology teams to ensure applications are secure, scalable and able to evolve alongside an ever-changing threat landscape.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll be involved in designing, developing and delivering mobile components and services, while also working closely with stakeholders to shape technical solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and developing high-quality Android applications and reusable mobile components
• Working closely with engineering and strategy teams to architect and implement technical solutions
• Contributing to the security, scalability and performance of mobile applications
• Working within a large, modularised Android codebase
• Helping to establish and maintain Android development best practices
• Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
• Supporting performance optimisation, testing and continuous improvement across the mobile platform

What we're looking for

• Strong commercial experience developing Android applications
