Job summary

SoSafe is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to own the transformation layer in dbt and define core metrics across the business. You will model complex SaaS data by integrating events, CRM, and support data into clean dimensional models.

You will collaborate with data engineers, establish testing and data quality practices, and document lineage to enable self-service analytics across teams. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering focused on data modeling.
• Strong proficiency in dbt and SQL.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and metric design.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift).
• Experience with metrics / semantic layers (dbt metrics, MetricFlow, Cube).
• Strong data quality mindset (testing, validation, monitoring).
• Comfortable working with event-based data and cross-functional teams.
• Able to turn ambiguous business questions into clear data models.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Own the transformation layer in dbt - design, build, and maintain modular, well-tested data models.
• Define and implement core business metrics (activation, engagement, retention) as reusable data assets.
• Model complex SaaS data by integrating product events, CRM, and support data into dimensional models.
• Build and evolve our semantic layer to enable consistent KPI definitions for downstream users.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on upstream data contracts and event schemas.
• Establish and enforce best practices in testing, documentation, and data quality.
• Document models, metrics, and lineage clearly for self-service across teams.
