Job summary

ITV Insights Group is seeking an analytics engineer to design and maintain SQL-based data pipelines and KPI dashboards. You will work with data teams to evolve the analytics architecture, leveraging dbt/Dataform, and cloud data warehousing in BigQuery.

The role collaborates with the Head of Analytics and other groups to deliver reliable data products. 2+ years in data analytics/engineering, strong SQL, and a passion for TV content are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
• Advanced SQL proficiency: write complex, performant code.
• Design, build, and automate robust ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Experience with dbt or Dataform and Git for version control.
• Cloud data warehouse experience with BigQuery or similar.
• Knowledge of dimensional modelling (star/snowflake).
• Data profiling: assess and validate data sources.
• Passion for TV content and ITV.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust SQL-based analytical pipelines.
• Maintain KPI pipeline and integrate Dataform with GitHub for version control.
• Create data quality checks and automated tests with Slack alerts.
• Support UAT on new data products.
• Collaborate to build foundation tables for dashboards.
• Migrate legacy processes to BigQuery notebooks/pipelines.
• Assist in rebuilding ITVX streaming data as a dimensional model.
• Document all data products for the business.
• Explore new data sources and API connections.
• Bridge data and business value; standardise data models and metrics.
