Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as a data engineer or related specialty with large datasets.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the SDLC.
• Experience with data modelling, warehousing and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with AI systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize data pipelines from multiple sources, including ETL and event streams.
• Create datasets for analytics and reporting by consolidating data from Prime Video systems.
• Use big-data tech to optimize processing of large datasets.
• Develop and maintain the data platform with infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Analyze business processes and relational data models.
• Write high-performing SQL queries.
• Design automated data processing solutions and data quality controls.
• Work with software engineers to support data needs of products.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support data pipelines and products.
• Aim to reduce costs and improve data processing performance.
