Job summary

British Business Bank is recruiting an Associate Director for Analytics, AI and Automation on a fixed-term maternity cover. The role is based in Sheffield with hybrid working (2 days in office) and a total of 37.5 hours per week.

The salary ranges up to £66,950 in Sheffield and £79,825 in London, depending on experience, with a 12-month contract and a closing date of 10 November 2026. The role leads data intelligence and analytics as a centre of excellence for AI and process automation adoption,

Qualifications

• Strategic leadership in analytics, AI and automation.
• Experience leading engineering/analytics teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics, AI and automation strategy across the organisation.
• Oversee a team of engineers and analytics SMEs (5–6 staff).
• Drive adoption of AI capabilities and automation within BI tools.
• Shape standards for agentic innovation and enterprise AI operations.
• Support Fabric migration and high-performance team culture.
