Job summary

British Business Bank plc is seeking an Associate Director for Analytics, AI and Automation on a fixed term maternity cover. The role is based in Sheffield with hybrid working (attend office 2 days per week) and involves leading a team of engineers and analytics SMEs to advance data intelligence capabilities.

You will own the AI and data automation strategy, scale automation and insight delivery, and align with the organisation’s four strategic priorities for the five‑year plan.

Qualifications

• Experience leading analytics, AI and automation initiatives.
• Ability to mentor analysts and manage cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5–6 engineers and analytics SMEs.
• Own AI and data automation strategy and delivery.
• Advise on Microsoft Fabric and modern BI tool adoption.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver insight‑driven solutions.
• Support a high‑performance team culture and governance.
