Job summary

A leading testing company in Luton is seeking an experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to perform analyses using GC and GC-MS techniques. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry and relevant laboratory experience. Responsibilities include setting up analytical instrumentation, following SOPs according to UKAS and ISO guidelines, and performing instrument calibrations. Eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a Chemistry subject.
• Laboratory experience as an Analytical Chemist/ Laboratory Analyst.
• Experience running GC or GC-MS analysis.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run analytical instrumentation to test a wide range of samples.
• Carry out GC and GC-MS analysis.
• Follow SOPs and ensure compliance with UKAS and ISO 17025 guidelines.
• Perform GC instrument calibrations and troubleshooting.

Job Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Laboratory Analyst/ Analytical Chemist to join a leading testing company in the South East.

The role:

As an Analytical Chemist you will carry out a range analysis using techniques such as GC and GC-MS.

Duties include:

• Set up and run analytical instrumentation to test for a wide range of samples.
• Carry out GC and GC-MS analysis.
• Follow SOPs and ensure work is carried out to UKAS and ISO 17025 guidelines.
• Perform GC instrument calibrations and troubleshooting.

Ideal candidates will be degree qualified in a Chemistry subject and have laboratory experience as an Analytical Chemist/ Laboratory Analyst running GC or GC-MS analysis.
