Job Title: Senior Analytical Chemist

Type: Permanent

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE – Higher Salary available for more experienced individuals)

The Opportunity

Join a fast-growing international pharmaceutical CDMO at a cutting-edge UK facility as a Senior Analytical Chemist.

As an Analytical Chemist, you will be supporting global pharma and biotech clients in drug substance development for small complex molecules.

You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team working on both early and late-stage API / Drug substance projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contribute to and lead various non-GMP and GMP analytical projects
2. Develop, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods (LC, GC)
3. Support analytical instrumentation and release testing in a GMP environment
4. Collaborate with process chemistry teams and contribute analytical expertise
5. Ensure timely, high-quality data delivery across projects

Requirements

1. 3+ years' industrial experience in analytical chemistry
2. Proficiency in LC, GC, and complementary techniques (e.g. NMR, MS, IR, XRD)
3. Strong scientific and problem-solving skills
4. Knowledge of GMP standards
5. Experience supporting API and process development
6. Familiarity with Empower 3, UNIFI, and LIMS
