Job summary

Schroders in London is seeking a Senior Analyst in Operational Accounting & Control to own cost and revenue accounting outcomes for a portfolio of entities and to help shape the development of the team.

You will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to understand drivers of financial movements, deliver month-end activities on time, test improvements, and apply automation, data and AI to enhance efficiency, insight and control in financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience taking ownership of tasks and delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Ability to identify opportunities and deliver practical improvements.
• Interest in automation, AI and new ways of working.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Understanding of financial statements, accounting processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of cost and revenue accounting outcomes, coordinating month-end activities.
• Review P&L and balance sheet, investigate movements and provide driver commentary.
• Work with operational finance teams to resolve issues and improve end-to-end processes.
• Define problems, develop options, test solutions and embed improvements into BAU.
• Proactively identify opportunities to simplify and standardise processes across cost and revenue accounting.
• Maintain a strong focus on financial controls and communicate risks.
• Share knowledge and support colleagues to meet shared objectives.
