Senior Analyst - Investments Middle Office

Legal & General

We’re looking for an experienced IMO Senior Analyst to join our Institutional Retirement Investments Middle Office team. In this role, you’ll provide oversight and deliver high‑quality investment performance reporting, portfolio analytics and risk management insights. You’ll play a key part in shaping operational processes, driving data innovation and supporting strategic decision‑making across a diverse investment landscape.

What you’ll be doing:

• Producing and overseeing portfolio MI reporting for senior stakeholders
• Managing and validating data while developing asset data models
• Leading operational process design and transition to support front office
• Implementing new reporting and workflow technologies to improve efficiency
• Representing the team in working groups and forums to optimise processes
• Coordinating coverage of BAU tasks and mitigating key‑person risk
• Supporting onboarding of new reporting requirements and asset classes
• Engaging stakeholders and testing changes to ensure positive customer outcomes

Qualifications

• Degree‑level education or equivalent experience
• Significant experience in finance or operations within financial services
• Strong understanding of investment products, processes and trade lifecycle
• Advanced Excel skills (including VBA) and experience with SQL/Python
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI and data platforms like Snowflake
• Proven ability to deliver process improvements and technical reporting solutions
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with a proactive approach
• Creative problem‑solver with strong accountability and attention to detail
