Job summary

Jefferies is seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst to join its Financial Restructuring team in London. The role offers exposure to complex debt restructurings, M&A, and capital-raising transactions across EMEA.

Ideal candidates have 12–18 months of relevant experience and a strong background in accounting, valuation, and financial modelling. You will work closely with senior bankers and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
• Minimum 12-18 months of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, Transaction Services, or Corporate Finance.
• Strong accounting and corporate finance knowledge.
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills.
• High attention to detail and analytical capability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed integrated financial models including liquidity forecasting and debt capacity analysis.
• Conduct valuation analyses using DCF, trading comps, precedent transactions, and distressed valuation.
• Analyse corporate capital structures and assess refinancing and restructuring options.
• Support execution of debtor-side and creditor-side restructuring mandates.
• Assist in distressed M&A, debt-for-equity swaps, refinancings, and capital raises.
• Prepare client presentations, information memoranda, and board materials.
• Conduct industry, market, and company research to identify opportunities and risks.
• Coordinate due diligence and manage transaction workstreams.
• Collaborate with senior bankers, lawyers, accountants, lenders, and sponsors.
