Job summary

Jefferies is seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst to join its Financial Restructuring team in London. The role offers exposure to complex debt restructurings, M&A, and capital-raising transactions across EMEA.

Ideal candidates have 12–18 months of relevant experience and a strong background in accounting, valuation, and financial modelling. You will work closely with senior bankers and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed integrated financial models including liquidity forecasting and debt capacity analysis.
• Conduct valuation analyses using DCF, trading comps, precedent transactions, and distressed valuation.
• Analyse corporate capital structures and assess refinancing and restructuring options.
• Support execution of debtor-side and creditor-side restructuring mandates.
• Assist in distressed M&A, debt-for-equity swaps, refinancings, and capital raises.
• Prepare client presentations, information memoranda, and board materials.
• Conduct industry, market, and company research to identify opportunities and risks.
• Coordinate due diligence and manage transaction workstreams.
• Collaborate with senior bankers, lawyers, accountants, lenders, and sponsors.

The Opportunity

Jefferies is seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst to join its growing Financial Restructuring team in London.

The team advises debtors, creditors, shareholders, and sponsors on a wide range of special situations, distressed M&A, liability management exercises, debt restructurings, recapitalisations, refinancing transactions, and formal insolvency processes.

This role is ideally suited to an Analyst with 12-18 months of relevant experience who is looking to accelerate their development in a highly entrepreneurial and execution-focused environment. The successful candidate will gain significant exposure to complex transactions, senior clients, and a broad range of industries across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed integrated financial models, including liquidity forecasting, debt capacity analysis, recovery analysis, and restructuring scenarios.
• Perform valuation analyses using DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, sum-of-the-parts, and distressed valuation methodologies.
• Analyse corporate capital structures and assess refinancing and restructuring alternatives.
• Support the execution of debtor-side and creditor-side restructuring mandates.
• Assist in distressed M&A, debt-for-equity swaps, refinancing transactions, covenant amendments, and capital raises.
• Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, information memoranda, restructuring analyses, and board materials.
• Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and assist in managing transaction workstreams.
• Work closely with senior bankers, lawyers, accountants, lenders, sponsors, and other stakeholders throughout transaction execution.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute meaningfully to strategic discussions.
