Job summary

Central East Integrated Care Board is seeking a Principal Analyst to join the Cancer Alliance data and performance team. You will lead research and statistical analysis to drive improvements in cancer pathways, earlier diagnosis, inequalities and outcomes across the region.

The role requires advanced skills in statistics, data visualization and reporting, with experience in NHS settings. You will collaborate with managers, clinicians and partners to turn data into actionable decision support.

Qualifications

• Masters level education or equivalent senior experience.
• Postgraduate qualification in statistics, research methods or public health.
• Member of a relevant professional body.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects on time and cost effectively.
• Share best practice in discipline to support service improvement.
• Operate in a highly political and sensitive environment.
• Support programmes/projects to demonstrate value for money and deliver benefits.
• Provide specialist advice and prepare strategic reports for directors and stakeholders.
• In-depth analysis, interpretation and production of complex reports.
