Job description

  • This role supports the Commercial Activation team by helping deliver actionable insights, facilitating best practice sharing across the group and assisting in managing the activation of commercial projects for our core FMC champions and portfolio companies
  • Working under the guidance of the Senior Managers, you’ll play a key role in shaping selected commercial strategies (e.g. proposition strategy and development, operational and go-to-market strategies) and supporting initiatives aimed at improving customer loyalty, increasing net adds, and boosting customer ARPU
  • You’ll also contribute to the operational side of strategic programs like digital transformation or post-merger activities and ensure best practice learning is shared and implemented across the group
  • As an individual contributor, you are valued for your analytical capability. You deliver as part of a collaborative team, influencing through expertise rather than line management, and you are accountable for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of your work and recommendations
  • Produce robust quantitative and qualitative analyses to drive commercial insights that inform decisions and help identify, size and shape new commercial opportunities
  • Manage assigned work packages and projects to successful execution, spanning market research, customer value proposition (CVP) development, business casing and go-to-market support, always meeting agreed objectives and timeline
  • Contribute to the development of selected commercial strategies around product, service or experience: helping to design the proposition blueprint, deliver the business case and the go-to-market strategy
  • Support the identification and prioritisation of transferable best practice and implement structured knowledge sharing to leverage the benefits for all OpCo’s
  • Be accountable for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of their work and recommendations
  • Collaborate with the wider Commercial Activation team to support the VP Commercial Activation in operating and budget reviews for core businesses and portfolio companies; providing non-recurring analytical and performance insights and ensuring follow-through on commercial and operational questions, issues and opportunities
  • Contribute to the commercial & operations input to operating and strategic meetings where applicable and required (to CEO and Board level)
  • Stay informed about commercial, operational and technological trends and innovations relevant to the industry
  • Problem solving & structuring — applies critical and lateral thinking to break problems into actionable tasks and uncover root causes; supports strategy and approach formulation for projects
  • Data analysis & insight generation — collects and validates relevant data, applies sound statistical methods, and identifies insights within defined parameters, translating them into clear recommendations
  • Data visualisation & digital literacy — creates clear visuals and is proficient with core tools (Excel, BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau, and presentation tools)
  • Market research & commercial acumen — conducts secondary research from the right sources, tracks relevant industry trends, and applies commercial judgement to sense-check insights and assess the likely implications or considerations of different commercial strategies
  • A curious mind, a self-starting attitude and a passion for getting things done are a must, together with strong analytical skills with a focus on accurate data interpretation
  • Business casing — builds clear, structured models and supports opportunity sizing and scenario modelling, with foundational financial literacy (P&L, long-range plan, company reports)
  • Ways of working — organises and prioritises own workload to meet deadlines; collaborates effectively across remote, matrixed teams; takes ownership of own tasks and stays curious and resilient under pressure
  • Fluent in English
  • Storytelling & communication — drafts the building blocks of a narrative and structures them into compelling presentations; presents confidently and credibly to internal teams and stakeholders
  • CVP & go-to-market — understands consumer pain points, can contribute to CVP development and shows a keen interest in go-to-market fundamentals
  • Recent graduate - including those completing a rotational or graduate program - or min 2 years’ experience in commercial, strategy, analytics, consulting or related roles
  • Exposure to strategic thinking, transformation initiatives or commercial management projects in dynamic environments
  • Experience working in a matrixed, international organisation is a plus
  • Familiarity with the telecom, media, tech and related industries is beneficial
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering or alike
