Job summary

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist to join the NHS Medical & Dental: Consultant group at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton. The role includes 10 PAs per week with on-call duties, extensive theatre activity, and on-site hospital-based practice.

FRCA or equivalent and GMC registration are required, with CCT in anaesthesia and MRCP or equivalent preferred. The post offers a broad anaesthesia experience across surgical specialties and potential SPA activity.

Qualifications

• CCT in anaesthesia (within 6 months of interview) or equivalent and FRCA or equivalent.
• MRCP or equivalent. ALS certification (or equivalent).
• Experience in anaesthesia for district/general hospital-type surgical specialties and advanced airway/ regional blocks.

Responsibilities

• Provide anaesthesia for a range of surgical disciplines with extensive theatre activity.
• Manage on-call duties as part of a 10 PA (Programme Activities) post and SPA commitments.
