Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is recruiting a Senior Locally Employed Doctor in Anaesthesia in Manchester. The post is MT04, permanent, full-time 40 hours per week with an on‑call rota (total 48 hours).

Salary £67,325 per year plus enhancements for on‑call duties. The successful candidate will join a consultant‑led department, receive mentorship, and benefit from training opportunities within a well‑established Anaesthesia team.

Qualifications

• Primary Medical Degree required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Anaesthesia.
• Advanced Life Support certification.
• FRCA (or equivalent) and Final FRCA/EDAIC preferred.
• GMC registration required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in practical procedures, assessment, investigation, treatment and day-to-day management of patients.
• Work at CT3 level or equivalent with increased responsibility and supervision of junior trainees.
• Participate in the on-call rota including obstetric anaesthetic duties.
• Contribute to audits and quality improvement projects.
• Collaborate with consultant anaesthetists and training teams.
