Qualifications

• Must be on GMC Specialist Register in Anaesthesia or eligible within 6 months of interview.
• FRCA or equivalent qualification.
• Completion of training in Anaesthesia (CCT or 7 years post-graduate training).
• Experience of working within the NHS.
• Higher training in obstetric anaesthesia.
• Understanding NHS management structure.
• Engagement in teaching and CPD activities.
• Publications in refereed journals.

Responsibilities

• Support elective and emergency surgery on the Colchester site.
• Participate in fixed or flexible operating theatre sessions.
• Share in the out-of-hours on-call rota (1:18).
• Contribute to cross-site work as needed (Ipswich).
• Participate in teaching and management as required.
