Job summary

Infleqtion UK is seeking an experimental AMO Physicist to join the UK quantum RF team at our Kidlington, Oxford office. You will contribute to research and development, explore new concepts for future quantum RF sensor systems, and collaborate closely with physicists and engineers to advance quantum technologies.

The role requires a PhD in AMO physics, strong hands-on experience with atoms/ions, and a proven ability to integrate complex hardware and software.

Qualifications

PhD in experimental AMO physics required.
Experience manipulating atoms/ions with light post-PhD.
Strong programming and data-analysis skills; ability to model and simulate complex systems.
Ability to integrate optics, electronics and software in quantum devices.

Responsibilities

Translate product requirements into atomic system designs.
Lead high-value research projects and manage timelines.
Perform modelling, simulation, and analytical calculations for product performance.
Design and execute testing and verification plans.
Integrate opto-mechanical systems, electronics and software into quantum devices.
Document progress and resolve project issues.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to meet goals.
