Our client, the investment arm of a large UK pension, is seeking a Senior Asset Liability Management (ALM) Research Analyst to join their Fiduciary Management team, on a permanent basis, in their London office (hybrid based).
Responsibilities
Alongside the technical experience listed below, we are seeking skills in promoting the team's activities both internally and externally and leading dialogue on range of related topics. You will be someone who enjoys thought leadership and proactive engagement with a wide variety of stakeholders.
·Connect the Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Investment Advisory and Funding (IAF) teams, leveraging your UK consultancy background and technical modelling expertise.
·Create and maintain a comprehensive range of asset liability models and datasets, ensuring all advice is backed by robust analytics.
·Conduct innovative quantitative research in asset liability management, present research findings, collaborate across functions. Translate research findings into practical tools, actionable analytics, and performance indicators that influence investment strategy decision-making.
·Engage in various types of modelling, including portfolio construction, capital market assumptions, and client portfolio management.
·Provide ALM analysis and insights to support trustee discussions, ensuring the investment strategy effectively reflects scheme needs.
·Stay updated on legislative and industry developments, assessing their impact on pension investment strategies, and devising solutions accordingly.
·Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and mentor colleagues in ALM methodologies and best practices.
·Write papers, contribute to industry publications, and represent the company at conferences, showcasing research insights and thought leadership.
