We are seeking a forensic accounting research analyst to cover European listed public companies, focusing on the industrial and technology sectors.

The analyst will conduct and publish forensic accounting research on specific companies and industries for dissemination to institutional investor clients. The research will involve qualitative and quantitative analysis, including financial statement analysis and interpretation of company-specific and sector-specific data. The analyst will also respond to ad hoc client inquiries and communicate research findings regularly both virtually and in-person.

This is a remote role, open to candidates in the U.S. or U.K. CFRA maintains workspaces in Washington, DC, and London, England.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analyze European industrial and technology public company financial data, news, and other information to identify risks facing companies.
2. Publish high-impact reports for investment managers, hedge funds, and other clients detailing research findings.
3. Communicate with clients regarding analyzed companies, industry issues, and accounting topics.
4. Collaborate with European and industry-specific sector teams.
5. Perform custom research projects for clients, as requested.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• 4+ years experience in finance, auditing, or accounting disciplines.
• Experience researching, analyzing, or auditing companies.
• Strong financial statement analysis skills.
• Credentials such as CPA, CFA, or MBA are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of and interest in financial markets.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and team collaboration abilities.
• Experience delivering presentations and discussing analysis and methodology with prospects and clients.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and internal events.
